Apple's new 'eco' iPod

Whilst many will champion the great new design of Apple's new NANO iPod it's worth noting that Apple have not only brought new features and style to this popular iPod model but also some interesting eco creds.

The fourth generation Nano has a tapered tube form factor and is the thinnest yet with the glass display being arsenic-free and clean of Brominated Flame Retardants, mercury and PVC plastics. A delve into the past

With nuclear power in the news again recently with the proposed merger between British Energy and Centrica I was reminded of the possible risks associated with this power source. A somewhat off topic post here but here's a fantastic film recommendation if you've not seen it already - 'Silkwood' - the true story of a nuclear power station worker played by the brilliant Meryl Streep.
